Parents’ Role in Children’s Growth

As is vividly depicted in the cartoon given above, a girl shows her letter of admission to her mom and says, “Good news mom! I was accepted to the college of your choice.” Meanwhile, her mother sits on the sofa with a book in hand, listening to her happily. There is no doubt that the picture strongly reflects that phenomenon that parents are the deciders in children’s growth, which is sad but common nowadays.

Currently, people in mounting numbers are discussing parents’ role in children’s growth. From my perspective, parents should play the following roles. To begin with, parents are the guiding teachers. Parents are expected to be acted as the teachers, who are willing to tell children right from wrong and open the door of knowledge. Not only can the parents teach their children ABC, but parents can dig children’s potential as well. What’s more, parents are the intimate friends. By sharing secrets and communicating mutual understanding about life and course work, they will undoubtedly benefit a lot and grow together. Last but not least, parents should help children to be independent. More often than not, parents should leave children with a choice, and let them see the consequences coming from their decisions and learn to make sensible choices.

As far as I am concerned, I maintain that parents should be the teachers, friends and helpers in their growths instead of being the deciders. Only in these ways can children have a bright and promising future.

描述图画并阐述图画中的现代生活方式。图画中正是现代大多数人不健康的生活方式，文章结构清晰，首段描绘图画，第二段写对于这种生活方式的理解，应该结构清晰，最后一段阐明自己的看法。

Modern Life

As is vividly depicted in the cartoon given above, we can observe that it demonstrates the modern life, ranging from working, staying at home, playing to sleeping, which is a person’s routine in day. Nevertheless, I hold the idea that it is unfavorable.

It is generally acknowledged that this is the common type of the modern life, which is by no means a healthy one. To begin with, this type of life is dull and meaningless. For one thing, we can hardly catch the beauty of life. For another thing, hardly can we observe the fascinating thing and appeal to it. What’s more, not only does type of life do harm to our physical health, but to our psychological health as well. We are inclined to be addicted to the playing, thus ruining our health. In addition, lacking of friends and lacking of communication becomes an obstacle to enriching our life. Last but not least, this type of life alienates us from our intimate relatives, which may cause the feeling of loneliness.

In a nutshell, I take it for granted that we should find a healthier and appropriate style of life, which will undoubtedly benefit us a lot, both physically and psychologically. It is high time that we should find new ways and live new life.

Go to school, the right choice

As is vividly depicted in the cartoon given above, we can observe that a son, holding a smart phone, says to his mom, “why am I going to school if my phone already knows everything?” . There is no doubt that the picture strongly reflects that phenomenon that more and more students object the idea of going to school when they have a phone, which can help them know every thing. However, it is by no means a sensible idea.

It is generally acknowledged that going to school is not outdated. Whereas, it will remain as vital as it used to be. To begin with, going to school makes it possible to study with classmates and make progress together. As the old saying goes, “many hands make light work.” If students can study together, they can arouse the interest and cooperate with each other, thus making study more easy and enjoyable. What’s more, going to school means the faceface communication. It goes without saying that this way is more direct and effective, where we can raise questions and solve all the questions on spot. Last but not least, mobile phones can not replace school. When using mobile phones. There are more chances for students to distract their attention. In addition ,they may easily addicted to the games on the phone.

On the whole, as far as I am concerned, mobile phones do help us study in some ways. Nevertheless, it can by no means replace go to school. Going to school is the sensible choice. And school is the place where you can benefit the most.
