　　错误：Now that everybody is coming，let’s begin meeting. 　

　　错误点1:  is coming改成has come，见解析

　　错误点2：meeting前the/a

　　正确：Now that everybody has come, let us begin our conference. 　　

　　知识点：因为说is coming的确是个将来时,“come”是个瞬间的动作,不能作为现在进行时,而你说的“they are coming now”是“他们正在赶到” 这里的“are coming”也是指将来时的.

　　2.更高的收入税是有害的，因为它可能阻碍人们努力赚更多的钱

　　正确：The higher income tax is harmful in that it may discourage people from trying to earn more.

　　知识点1：discourage的用法1：courage的意思是“勇气”,前缀dis-的意思是not。discourage的基本意思是“使气馁,使沮丧”,指人失去信心、失去勇气,产生恐惧,减少鼓足勇气的一切力量,主要用作及物动词,其宾语主要是人。

　　discourage的用法2：discourage引申可作“劝阻”解,指对别人的某一举动进行劝阻,希望其能够接受,但这种劝阻或阻止未必一定会成功,如果劝阻无效,则可在discourage前加上want to, mean to, try to等。

　　discourage的用法3：discourage在作“劝阻某人勿做某事”解时,其宾语后面可接“from+ v -ing”,但不可接动词不定式。

　　discourage from (v.+prep.)

　　阻止某人 prevent sb to do sth

　　discourage sb from v-ing
