1、 travel light =pack light 轻装旅行

　　To travel light, I tried to avoid packing anything heavy, but one weighty item I always carried with me -- a guidebook. 为了轻装旅行，我总是尽量不带重的东西，但有一样有分量的东西我总是带在身边，那就是旅游手册。

　　Maybe you’re moving across the country (or to a different country), and you need to packlight.

　　We should probably hit the road.  我们可能该上路了吧？

　　3、 catch the sun 晒太阳

　　That's a great idea. We can catch some sun, eat interesting food and study Englishall at the same time! 这是个好主意。我们可以晒晒太阳、吃点儿趣味食品，同时还可以学英语。

　　4、 live it up= live the life 狂欢一场；过着逍遥的日子

　　It's your birthday, so let's live it up! 

　　今天是你的生日，让我们狂欢一场

　　We always take plenty of money on holiday so that we can live it up for at least two weeks in the year. 

　　我们通常带很多钱去度假，这样在一年里，我们至少有两个星期能纵情欢乐。

　　5、 to do something on a shoestring=to do something on the cheap 以极少的钱

　　The two boys traveled through Europe on a shoestring. 

　　这两个男孩以极少的钱游遍了欧洲。

　　Sure . I'll be living on a shoestring , staying in youth hostels and eating cheap food . I think Ican make my savings last . 当然啦，我会省吃俭用，住青年宿舍，吃便宜食物。我觉得一定能省足够的钱。

　　6、 at the crack of dawn 天刚亮

　　A couple went on vacation to a fishing resort up north. The husband liked to fish at thecrack of dawn; the wife preferred to read. 

　　一对夫妻在往北的钓鱼胜地度假。丈夫喜欢在拂晓时钓鱼，妻子则喜欢读书。

　　At the crack of dawn, we get up to open our presents. 

　　天刚亮，我们就起床去打开礼物。

　　7、 bright and early 一大早 (比上一个稍微晚一点)

　　He got up bright and early. 他一大早便起床了。

　　8、call it a day/night 今天/今晚就到此为止

　　We've done enough today. Let's call it a day. 

　　我们今天已经做得足够多的事情了。收工！

　　No, let's call it a day. We can finish this tomorrow. 

　　不，咱们今天就到此为止吧。我们可以明天做完这件事

　　9、 itchy feet很想去旅行

　　I've got itchy feet. It's been a year since my last holiday. 

　　我非常想去旅游，上次放假已是一年前了。

　　Seeing others travelling abroad gave her itchy feet. 

　　见别人出国旅游，她心里也有点痒了。
